Donations for the Troops

There’s still plenty of time to make your donations to the Blue Star Mothers for shipment to our active duty troops. Donation boxes are in the men’s classroom and in the foyer between the sanctuary and bathroom. The donations will go to Tulsa Chapter 1 for packaging and mailing on May 10th. VBS is coming June 19-23

Vacation Bible School will be in the mornings this year and the theme is A Mighty Fortress. Youngsters will be learning that God’s Kingdom endures forever. He is our refuge and strength. God is our rock and salvation, our fortress and sure defense. Jesus came to save. He is our Savior and King. On Sunday, Feb. 19, the Music Committee will be meeting at Terry and Kelly’s home after the morning service. Later, after the evening service, we will be having a Chili Social in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite chili or chili accoutrements and, of course, deserts.

Dinner and a Mystery

Church youth will be presenting an Old West mystery during our Valentine’s Dinner this Friday, Feb. 10. It will be an interactive investigation and teams will work to figure out who dunnit. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $10 for big people and $2 for sixth-graders and below. The dinner will be catered by Rib Crib. Valentine’s Dinner

The Calvary Baptist Church’s Valentine’s Dinner will be Friday, Feb. 10. The theme is the Old West. Rib Crib will cater the affair and the cost is $10 each, or $2 per child sixth grade and under. Child care will be provided. You may put your money in the offering plate and please mark it “Valentine’s Dinner” on your envelope along with your name.
