gospelofjohn_sandsprings2011In 2011, Calvary Baptist Church participated in the Gospel of John Project. Through God’s grace and providence, we were able to place a copy of the Gospel of John in every home in our city. In total 17,200 copies of this wonderful book were distributed in our city which made it the largest outreach of this kind in America.  We are blessed to have a wonderful partnership with Mr. Steven Lee & Sermon Audio, which made this event possible.

The Gospel of John has been used more frequently than any other to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; it was written for that purpose. It is our hope that many hurting homes and broken lives will be helped by the message of this incredible book. The promise of Scripture is that the Word of God “shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isa. 55:11). It is with this in mind that we send this “good news” into the heart of our cities hoping to reach the hearts in the homes to which they are sent. This is our burden. We hope you will share it.

“If you want a reason for not loving Christ don’t turn to John. He knew Him too long. I don’t believe a man can read the gospel of John without being turned to Christ.”
— D. L. Moody

“The best book in the world to put into the hands of one who desires to know about Jesus and to be saved is the gospel of John.” — R. A. Torrey

“This is the unique, tender, genuine, chief Gospel…Should a tyrant succeed in destroying the Holy Scriptures and only a single copy of the Epistle to the Romans and the Gospel according to John escape him, Christianity would be saved.” — Martin Luther

Calvary Baptist Pastor Robert Haling has been preaching through the Gospel of John on Sunday Mornings.  You can listen to those sermons here.
